@phil-a-dorksaid Samuel Sevian could be a contender too. 🤔
Youngest expert in USA history.

And youngest Grandmaster in USA history.
"In real life, white people with inferior abilities and performances are routinely more praised, rewarded, and promoted than Asians with superior abilities and performances."
This is utter racist nonsense. You refer to the views of one or two people, who are entitled to their views, and generalize them. Firouzja is obviously the best player under 20 now (duh!), but I strongly doubt that he or the others being discussed will surpass Magnus in the next 10 years. I suspect it will be someone not on the scene now. Just my opinion.
Referring to "Asians" as if this is a well-defined group distinct from Europeans is utter nonsense. Armenians are Asians. Israelis are Asians. Syria, Siberia, etc. Levon Aronian, who has the fourth highest chess rating of all time, is an Asian. Might as well just refer to "people" rather than Asians.
Of course Gary Kasparov is also an Asian, having been born in Azerbaijan to an Armenian mother. Wesley So is Asian. Nakamura was born in Japan. 6 of the top 10 highest ratings of all time (see https://2700chess.com/) belong to "Asians" - and one is not Ding Liren, who is number 12. Who cares? Not me.
@tefeather I do not share your confidence. I'm sure it would have been a great match, but I think Karpov would have at least his share of chances. He had Geller as a second, and Geller scored favorably against Fischer. It's just tough to say one way or the other.
