I've been playing with this idea for a while now and i thought i'd post it to get some input from you guys. It is an idea i had OTB a few years ago on the white side of the Chigorin defence and having just played a blitz game in this opening i thought i'd throw it out to the community for scrutiny...

For those unfamiliar with this opening, the opening moves are 1.d4 ..Nc6 2.c4 ..d5 3.Nf3 ..Bg4 (or as in this game, it can be reached via other move orders..)

Very last Black move c8 so I played Qc8.
Not changed nothng else so if there is any spelling errors or mis-analysis
then it's not mine (this time.)

It looks like a 'Q' has fallen out of the copy somewhere.

Don't worry, it Qwill turn up somewhere.

The thing is i tried copying it over again and adding the notation back a line at a time to 'bug' test it and it made the same error twice!

You took your time letting that one out of the bag.

    5 years.

What were you doing saving it up for a special moment or
two surprie a big gun with it.

I think this game is better than the posted game.

Wow i'd forgotten all about that game! I think i stumbled on the idea even earlier as it happens. I played what is possibly my best ever club game in this opening. It was one of those games where black just suffered from beginning to end. My club chairman enjoyed the game so much he took my score sheet off me to publish the game in the club magazine and i never saw it again! :'(
