This looks pretty good, I might actually buy it. Any thoughts about it? It's only $16 on amazon.com, so it seems like a very good deal.

I find that people are just too well prepared for the Ruy for my tastes

Probably. The Everyman "Play the..." series are usually pretty good. I'd reccommend this as well:

cmsmaster you know i had a thread earlier about the ruy lopez. the book you are looking at looks very good. i bought my ruy lopez books from everymanchess too by glen flear. i bought the open ruy lopez and the main line ruy lopez. i havn't read the whole thing but i've read through some of it and it maps out black and whites plans throughout the book very well. i'd think the ruy books coming out now either one the one you are looking at or the one i bought would be very good to buy. if you buy a ruy book and its no good its always good for fire wood 😉.

If this book is out on CD from Everyman I'd try it...

they re-released many of thier popular books on CD that you can let unfold on the screen instead of setting up the board.

I guess there is an advantage to resetting up the board all of the time but I get bored and stop reading the book most times

These are the cds I am talking about
