Does anyone know about the upcoming Nezhmetdinov Memorial starting around the end of this month, May 2014? Natalia Pogonina is supposed to participate in the Men's event even though she is a woman.
Where is the official website going to be? I don't know if the tournament will have one.
She would be following in the footsteps of the noted Ms Polgar, for chess that isπ
Polgar is in the 2700's, definitely high ranking, what about Nat?
I see she is rated around 2500. I went to her chess site and there is a play chess section. It LOOKED like I was playing people but the speed and accuracy of the play makes it look like a computer. I never saw such speed before with such devastating attacks, stuff I never saw before, knight sacs and such leading to me losing my rook but I won that first game but not again. Do you know if the players there are just engines?
