Anyone ever play this? I'd be interested to see some games with this move.

The prospect of tripling white's pawns seems like it would offer some interesting material struggles. If white ever plays into the Nimzo-Indian against me [a rare occurrence for some reason], I'm itching to try this move out.

Lol, you will almost never see tripled pawns...it makes no sense....Qa5 get the pawn back with position...I think the only moves white ever plays here are e3 and f3...The Saemisch is tough to play against...I play the Nimzo online all the time, and to tell you the truth, I am much happier to see other things! Heheh....

Well, it sure looks cool, regardless. =)

...c5 is the most popular move and I wouldn't hesitate playing it. It fixes white's doubled pawns, a structural weakness, and allows black to blockade the center in the hope that white's two bishop advantage over the two black knights will be moot or even advantageous for black due to the closed position.

Here's my only game where I got those tripled pawns: Game 665817

It's not the best game you'll ever see, but it gives you a good idea how weak White's pawns are. The extra one is completely useless.
