I am checking this out before class, but what about Bc5 with the idea of Ba7 and a4-a5-a6, keeping the king out of the corner, since I think if he gets, there it's a draw no matter what. I dunno though. Interesting position. 😀
Now if the bishop goes to a7 like you suggest the pawn can't promote and black will pick off the pawn and it's drawn.
