Look about 2/3 the way down the first page. I posted what I am pretty sure is the solution.

ok then, blocking the black squares around the black pawn + using white pawn. Great!

I am checking this out before class, but what about Bc5 with the idea of Ba7 and a4-a5-a6, keeping the king out of the corner, since I think if he gets, there it's a draw no matter what. I dunno though. Interesting position. 😀

1. Bc5? Kf7! 2. a4 Ke6! 3. a5 Kd5!
Now if the bishop goes to a7 like you suggest the pawn can't promote and black will pick off the pawn and it's drawn.

(exclamation marks denote moves which are the only drawing move)

that will take the king five moves and the black pawn will queen by then.

Richard Reti said so, and he was pretty damn smart. Even beat that Capablanca guy a time or two. That's proof enough for me.

black wins if i'm looking at the position right he just moves his pawn down the board until he queens unless white moves his pawn but he just takes it after a move and still queens.

yes I know that but I want someone who doesn't know the answer to prove it. that is why I didn't say who the study was by because then people could just look it up.
