Any players from the Northwestern United States?
Or Anybody from Canada with a passport?

USA
Western Washington
Northern Idaho
Western Montana
Northwestern Wyoming

Canada
Southern Alberta
Southwestern Saskatchewan

I ask with the hopes of a meet-up somewhere in this region soon.

Crossroads mall is a good place in Bellevue. And Louisa's in Seattle is nice little place too.

Then both those places would be easy for you to get to.

Ah, so that's why you posted the thread about the Canadian open.

Never heard of Louisa - are you talking about the Mexican place in Crown Hill, or the coffeehouse on Eastlake?

I don't know how the poor little coffee shop would cope with a bunch of rowdy chess players though.

Anyway, i've always thought that small time coffee shops (ie not Starbucks or Seattle's best) are an ideal place for a few games of chess.

Indeed, not Starbucks! The tables are too small for one.

Seattle's worst has shops? Glad I haven't been in those.

A couple of us in Spokane are talking about turning the Rocket downtown into a chess cafe.
