Flex has talked in the past about odds matches. Whereby one player
starts with a piece less than his/her opponent in a set piece. Such matches may also be defined as handicap matches. Just wondered if this handicap could be set based on the ratings level of the 2 players. For instance a 1600 player may start with a knight down against a 1200 player. There has to be some degree of maths involved here somewhere. Maybe a 2000 player would start a queen down against a 1200 player! We could maybe have handicap tournaments on Rhp, whereby the weaker players get to play against the stronger players -therefore making it an educational experience for the weak player whilst at the same time, the stronger player is not deterred, because they would gain alot more points than they would otherwise have done in a normal match and may help to make them even better players by focusing on using less pieces to begin with.
