My favorite player of all time(I love Capablnca's games,but not so keen on Alekhin's) is Morphy.My problem is:he went to the table and played.No data bases.I think Morphy would not have made it in any other age than he was born.
I wish upon wish I could glance at a position and play like that.

I agree!😀 It is amazing to think of how well he played, the way he played. I haven't studied many GM's styles but from what I've seen, I like Andersen's style. He was a great attacker and had many exciting games. He to though, wouldn't fair so well nowadays as defenses have become much more refined and the 'hacking and slashing' or swashbuckling play of old isn't seen to often in modern play.🙂
