This is close enough. I can't move the knight to the right 1 space, but do that, and you got what I'm talking about.

So, the question. What is the name of this defense?
Black 1) Pawn to g6, 2) pawn to d6 3) bishop to g7

That is Robatsch. Not quite what I need, it is a branch of that (aka modern defense)

I looked absolutely everywhere (including chessmaster) but could only find variations of it. Has it no name? Any experience out there who knows?

if the fen is correct then what you have is the modern defense... but white can take this in to many different named openings... pirc, KID or continue in the modern defense lines. do you have any furthers moves?

edit the white knight should be on f3

ok. It is a variation then, of Modern Defense. This must be the beginning of the middle game

MCO-14 calls 1 e4 g6 2 d4 Bg7 3 Nc3 d6 the Robatsch Defense. BCO-2 calls it the Modern Defense.
