    I am aware of at least three books that recommend the Scandinavian Defense (1 e4 d5) and the Tchigorin Defense (1 d4 d5 2 c4 Nc6):

    "Master Chess: A Course in 21 Lessons", by IM Danny Kopec, et. al.
    "An Opening Repertoire for the Attacking Player, 2nd ed.", by GM Raymond Keene and IM David Levy.
    "Ideas Behnd the Modern Chess Opening: Black", by IM Gary Lane.
