Opponent out of time, but no skull showing.

I am playing this clan game and his time has run out but I don't see the skull, has that changed? I don't see how to pull a timeout win on this game. Game Id 11209967
I sent PM with no answer. Never mind, the skull just showed up. Don't know why the delay, it was 16 days since his last move.

When I look at the game, it says you won by timeout. Are you sure the game was still in progress when you posted?

funnily enough I also beat the same player on time out recently but without actually clicking the skull !
the skull was there then the next day I had won the game, they hadn't resigned or anything. it said time out!
