Any examples of this opening on RHP? 1) e4 e5 2)Nf3 e6 3)d4 cxd4
4) Nxd4 Nc6. in which it differs from the Kan variation 4) ....a6.

Wouldn't that be 3)d4 Exd4? you haven't moved the c pawn yet.

He meant e4 c5. I play the Kan, but unfortunately, not the Taimanov variation, so I can't help you. It looks a bit too crazy for me.

Your are absolutely right, it should be c5 of course, slip of the pen :-)
