Anybody tried this site out or know anything about it

Surely this is the place for engine users.

Arghhhhh!
You are right - too late to edit it out.
Advert for this site appeared in latest CHESS.
It sounds open to abuse.
Using a box to nick a couple of RHP grading points is one thing.
But there they are playing for hard cash.
and yeah, even the fairest people would cheat for money. a site like that isnt even for the sport anymore, which is why the avg. player plays fair. if the betting was head to head, one would go as far as engine searching them to make sure i have the upper hand.
thats if i joined, but i probably wont.
I noticed that 10% of every stake goes to THEM.
So they will not be too bothered if engines are used or not.
They are getting their cut from every game.
It will interesting to watch the Rybka v Rybka games.
I wonder is some sap will enter a chessmaster.
I suppose the only game were you can be sure it's human v human
is bullet chess (one minute a game) - Korch might be interested in this.

From the terms and conditions: # You are aware that anything you do on the site can be monitored, live or after the event.
From the rules: BAD CONDUCT
Players found guilty of bad conduct will be Red or Blue flagged. If you suspect an opponent to be cheating using an outside device please report them to the Ultimate Checkmate conduct department (conduct@ultimatecheckmate.com). Any information you submit will be kept confidential. The reported player’s previous and future games on the site will then be monitored and if this suspicion appears true they will be RED flagged. Red flagged player will not be asked to leave however a red flag will be permanently placed next to there user name and a message sent to future opponents to warn them there opponent has been suspected of cheating.
They must give there opponent odds of 3-1 in every contest they enter (real money only). For those not familiar with odds this means the red flag player must play triple the stakes of his or her opponent while the opponent can win three times the stake but will only have to put up the singular stake.
Originally posted by Katastroofthats not a very good idea on their part. basically, by the time they get caught twice (which theyll already have a lot of money) they lose a tiny from the earnings.. but a 2500 rated against a 1200 wont even out 3-1. sounds like its still "anything goes" additude to me.
