Is playchess down? I could not connect last night or tonight.

This is really hard for a blitz addict. I was forced to get my fix at FICS where the lag always burns me (it's like drinking cheap wine with an aftertaste).

I got on this morning, but everything worked slow (as if I had bad lag, but when I ran the measure it said my connection was ok).

Corus starts tomorrow. I hope I'll be able to watch without difficulty.

No problem here. Did you try shutting down your pc for 5 mins, getting some coffee and then restarting it again?

Nope, but the problem persisted for about 28 hours, and my computer was shut down more than once through that time.

I did clear my internet cache before shutting down last night, and playchess has worked this morning. However, it was sluggish for a bit.

My internet connection/computers are on for weeks on end but when a blip is encountered I simply power down and restart the whole setup. This has worked every time.

Given that others here were connected perhaps it could be his ISP, router playing up. If others here were experiencing problems then we could say he is not alone.

During my difficulty accessing playchess, I had no problem with any other site.

90% of the time when I have general internet problems, powering down and then back up a few minutes later repairs it. The rest of the time, my ISP is the problem. It's good advice, but off the mark for my questions regarding the playchess server.
