Hi,
having now played the same repeated moves 6 times,my opponent also, I thought after 3 repeated moves the game was automatically drawn?

Any help
Thanks.

One of you has to claim the draw.

Ah right, thanks .. I have already claimed a draw but my opponent refuses and keeps moving perpetually!

I'm sure in the past I have had perpetual moves which have resulted in a automatic draw, has RHP changed this?

Did you offer the draw or claim it?

I did very politely ''offer'' a draw and had no response! I have just done so again, so we will see if my non-communicative opponent chooses to accept.

Third repetition of a position. If any identical position appears three times during a game, then the game can be claimed as a draw. Please note that each repetition must be identical with regards to en passant and castling availability. A draw can only be claimed along with a move that contributes to a repetition. Claiming after the repetition has occurred is not possible, unless the same position can be repeated again on a future move.

When it is your move click "claim draw" not "offer draw" then make your move.

It looks like its over and has been drawn Game 9884394
Unless the lad has another game going on where he is repeating the position.

White took the checks with Qa8+ and Qc6+.
I'm thinking Ra1 instead of Qa8+ looks pretty good.
(If it wins White has missed it 6 times.) 😉

in the early middle game...here Black to play.

Black played 13...Rd8 but 13...Na5 looks like a shot.
