This is actually a chess tournament which is taking place at the moment.

Here is Michael Adams' current game. His opponent, Alan Merry, is a very strong player, but seemed to switch off his cheapo radar in this one.

re game 1:
I have about 100 games in my Scandinavian folder and am currently in a Scandinavian tourney. Two things I've learned about Black:

1. When the Bishop goes to d2, my Q immediatelly goes to c7 .
2. Black must get his pieces out asap or White can swamp him.

ooppps, in the time it took me to write this the op got booted.

Player banned from site, but why? He played no games here so it wasn't a matter of using engines or other game cheating techniques. It had to be his posts I guess.

Me? Was I banned? If so I seem to have been unbanned very quickly. The thread that I started about playok.com has been deleted, Russ has done that twice now in the last few weeks when the subject of rival chess sites has been mentioned. However I can still link to it: Thread 165789. I can't stand it when messages and entire threads start getting deleted, so I think I'll make this my last post on this site. I've been here almost ten years (mostly as User 224920) and I've never found a chess forum I've liked so much, though in recent years it's been a bit quiet. Bye all!

Possibly an error on part of the management.

Can understand why rival sites get deleted it may be a tit for tat thing
maybe the other site banned mention of RHP - when the thread gets
deleted it automatically bans the poster....or something like that....I've no idea.

But don't go.

This tactic also appears with colors reversed in the Budapest Defense. I have seen players lose in 7 moves twice at OTB tournaments. It's funny and sad at the same time.

Under certain circumstances you can have two accounts (Datafly/FatLady never
really made a secret of it) just as long as you don't start playing games with both
accounts. Datafly has never moved.

What's the point of having multiple accounts and using some to post how great other sites are? Seriously ...

I see your point but he likes his blitz and if I recall that was all he talking about.
He rec'd a good site to play blitz The blitz site here for some reason is ignored by the vast majority.

Give him time to cool off, he'll be back.
