funny you ask that, i just played a 15 min blitz game vs. chessmaster and it used the polish! I was so surprised (considering computers tend to stick with d4 and e4)

I also thought this was called the Ourangatang... I don't use it ever.

I used to play it some time ago.. the only problem is that you get basically the same positions all the time, so I stopped playing it. Fun though. In blitz lots of people fall for 1. b4 e6 2. Bb2 Bxb4 3. Bxg7 and similiar things. It is probably not as much junk as the Basman opening for example..

Actually, it's both, and it's probably best played with Nf3 first.

1.Nf3 d5 2.b4 Nc6 3.Bb2 for example.

oh, i'd only seen orangutan
no matter, looks easily playable, Nf3 preventing an early e5
might be entertaining...

1.c3 followed by 2.Qc2 is sick nasty.

i'm going to do it...
with no previousm study under my belt...
i'm going to play 1. c3 in my tournament on Saturday...
i'll try 2. Qc2 if i end up against a novice that i could beat out of any opening...
what's the logic behind Qc2 exactly?
