Presidential airplane not allowed by Russian authorities

On Wednesday Bulgarian president Georgi Parvanov chartered a flight for Veselin Topalov. The plane was to take off for Bulgaria immediately after the championship finished, reported focus-sport.net. Authorities, however, did not allow the plane to enter Russian territory. No reason was given.
“This is a scandal,” Mr. Silvio Danailov said, “nobody explained why the plane was not allowed to land in Russia.”
At the same time, a plane will come for Vladimir Kramnik and is granted full access to the airport in Elista.
