So I'm new here and have spent a little time looking over the leader board of players here.
I have a couple questions-does this site not check for engine moves? You don't have to be a stockfish creator to be able to recognise when someone is using an engine.
Does this site not check for multiple accounts? The # 1 on this site looks very much like they might be using multiple accounts to boost their rating-look at their recent rating peak?
Sorry if this has been discussed before, but as I said I'm new.
I've played on other sites for years and most if not all that I play on have such checks. Does this site not?
There was moderation years ago. But even then getting cheaters banned was like pulling teeth. It's unfortunate. I just avoid any players over 2300-2350.
For those wondering here are the 7 most recent games for the current #1
Game 12672305
Game 12672310
Game 12672304
Game 12672308
Game 12672309
Game 12672303
Game 12672312
There's over a hundred games like this if you look further back.

To me, Chess is only second to Golf for its history of honor and dignity.
My Lord...it's just a game-site on the internet. Why would one feel so compelled to cheat?

But why? I suspect some people just don't have anything else going for them.
