question on cheating

not that ive had a problem with it, but ive read some post where people think they do. is there a definate way someone can guard against this? i notice some folks play blitz, so i would hope that there
is a way to play online and not use the chess engine for suggestions at the same time. is this just a reality in corr. chess?

Try OTB chess, in which not so many players use engines.
