When I finish a blitz game on Playchess, would it be good if I quickly analysed it myself? I was thinking about doing this after most of my games and I was wondering if it would help me. Thanks!

Sure, analyze, but don't "quickly" analyze. Doing anything too quickly in chess always leads to trouble.

I ment not deeply analysing but going through the game and just trying to identify any mistakes.

You could even go into the Teaching and Training area of playchess and make a board in there, you can make it private and just load up the game from your internet database. You can then invite people to analyse the game with you if you wanted.

Or press analysis focus at the end of the game.

Yeah I was guessing that's what he was planning on doing, however the reason I suggested the training area, is you can get input from your opponent or other friendly person who wants to help out.

Going to training and teaching after every game would be a bit tedious, although it would be helpful. Pressing analysis focus at the end of a game just analyses it with an engine right?

Is it possible to talk of blitz and analyse in the same sentence? Show me any book that advocates blitz as a way of improving your analytical chess skills and I'll give you the algorithm for calculating 5 moves ahead in 5 milliseconds.

the most important thing you can do to improve your blitz games is to study more tactics. analyzing slow games is a better way to improve at both

Well Silman says it's a good way for improving your tactics, or something like that. Anyway, I was just wondering if it would be a good idea to identify my mistakes.

Why don't you just do it and see if it helps rather than asking moronic questions in the forums?

If you need advice over the most simple tasks you will always be a rubbish player

kindest regards
🙂
