How is it i can beat someone rated 207 points highter than me and my rating goes up by 20 pts, but i loose a game to someone rated the same (he was 1 pt higher than me to be exact) as me and I drop 16 points... that just doesn't seem correct to me?!?!?!

I'm not sure - but if it is true, then if happens to everyone's rating at RHP.

That is just the way the rating system works. Someone that is rated 200 points higher should win 3 out of 4 games. 3/4 of 32 (the points at stake per game) is 24. 1/4 of 32 is 8. The +200 rated player only gets 8 points if he/she wins. The lower rated player will get 24 points for the win. The rating system uses the players rating at the time the game ends, not when you start. If you started with a 200 point difference and you win a couple of games or your opponent loses a couple of games, the rating difference will be less. I imagine that is what occurred while you were playing.

Edits, I tried to add a table showing the points by range, but the forums eat spaces/tabs ....
