sorry still new here.can any explain the relevance of the rating system on RHP other than to compare fellow RHP players?have been away from competitive chess for a long time but seem to recall many moons ago there were two internationally recognised rating systems used competitively,does ones rating on this site compare to whatever is used internationally these days?
Not really (I think), I guess it sort of depends, for example a lot of the people on this site play the correspondence game at blitz speed getting a lot lower rating than others. Maybe if you take the times over the moves then your RHP rating might be close to your ELO, you'd have to ask people who spend time on their moves :-)
