How diffucult do you think this problem is ?
I would say it's around 1900-2100
I say the solution is:
White is down a minor piece but has a strong attack on the black king.
1.f6
The following lose: 1...gxf6 and black gets mated.
1...g6 and black gets mated.
1...black queen moves also lose.
Back to main line
1.f6 Nxc4 2.fxe7 Bxd4+ 3.Kh1 Nxe7 4.Rxf7 hxg5 5.Rxf8+ Kxf8 6.Nc3
and it's roughly equal. Black might have a slight advantage after 6...Be6.
Originally posted by RahimKin CTS that puzzle should have 2000-2100 rating. Most players would get first move, 1.f6, right (assuming that it is the best move), but after that its lot harder as there seems to be no clear win.
What rating do you think that problem is?
I gave my solution which I think is the best line for white. What you think?

I think the position is equal after the line I give. Don't see anything better for white besides 1.f6 which basically equalizes if Black doesn't make the mistakes I mentioned.
Originally posted by RahimKpossibly. but I think the only reason it's hard is because the best play gives only equality, and you don't tend to look for those solutions in a tactical problem (but in a game you do). you see the f6 instantly, but waste time looking for the win that just isn't there.

I've done 70 puzzles so far of the Reinfeld 1001 combinations and I've never seen anything like them before.
Very challenging compared to most online and book problems. Even the Winning chess Tactics tests(first 2) seem easier then some of these problems.

any other move but f6 is loosing fast, so I do not think you need to go so deep with the analysis because it is the ONLY move that I can see that can keep you in the game and that gives some nice tactical chances...
I think that the problem is harder when you have many attacking options(all playable) and you have to select the winning/drawing one, most accurate.
I can not see any other move by white that can save the hanging pieces.
