Players at your level should always play until mate, unless you're playing someone very much higher rated.
I usually resign games if im losing, even if only by a piece. I promised myself not to resign this one no matter how bad things got, and things got very bad indeed. But i stuck fast to my resolution, and what an exciting turn of events!

Originally posted by coentjeCorrection, I still resign games, it was just that one that i didnt. I dont know why, but for some reason it just felt wrong to resign... good vibes or something.
lol, i am sure that some of these games will be going on for a few years, lol
tell me, you say in the beginning that you do not resign games anymore but in any of those games would you play on???? Be honest now 😉
The games on the thread above, however, are wack (pardon my french)
I would have resigned even before they began 🙄
Originally posted by LanndonKaneI do not always resign either, it all depends on the one i am playing with. Some that is a few pawns up in an end game, well if it is Kramnik i will resign and praise myself for lasting that long, if it is someone that is about as good as i am i will just think, well you prove to me that you can win this 😉

But when it is hopeless well......no use playing on even against a 500 player if you are a rook and 4 pawns behind, lol
