On reflection I wasn't brilliant - black messed up.
But it was still fun!
🙂
This time with amateurish comments
1. Nf3 d5 2. c4 {the 'gambit' line} d4 {declined} 3. e3 Nc6 {c5 is normally preferred} 4. exd4 {lots of other options including b4 which looks exciting but actually is drawish with so many uncoordinated pieces} Nxd4 5. Nxd4 Qxd4 6. d3 {standard stuff albeit a less well trodden path} g6 {odd ... Bd7 or Bf5 look better with O-O-O in mind} 7. Nc3 Bf5 8. Be3 Qd6 9. Qf3 {cavalier perhaps but its blitz} c6 10. Rd1 Qb4 {whoops ... didn't see that} 11. Bd2 {thought about Bd4 .. is it better?} Rd8 {why not castle??} 12. a3 Qxb2 {GP tells us this is normally bad} 13. Rb1 Qc2 14. Rxb7 Bg7 {no time for this} 15. Qxc6+ Bd7 16. Rxd7 Rxd7 17. Nd5 Nf6 {Qb8+ then pull her back into defence, that would save the day} 18.Qc8+ 1-0
Big mistakes by black:
6 ... g6 was a waste of time
11 ... O-O-O was better than Rd8
17 ... Qb8 check saves black
