Does anyone else have the problem with blitz where it looks like the player just isn't moving, but then you try and type a message and it just doesn't work? It's not a connection problem my end because I'm still connected, but it seems to just stop working for no reason.

The time controls must be terrible if a 2000+ player really decides to play 1. f6... 2. Kf7.
Seriously, I know no-one above 1500 who would play that.

The time controls where 4/4. Thats more then enough time to choose a good opening. You underestimate the Hammerschlag.

4/4 is a bit little in my opinion- I play my best chess with time of at least an hour, and struggle sometimes with rapidplay (25-45 mins).
I may underestimate the Hammerschlagg. But maybe you overestimate it. 🙂
