I have been considering investing in some of the DVD's in GM Roman Dvinzichasvilli's "Roman's Lab" series. They are expensive though. Has anyone had any experience with these that might be able to offer a reccomendation to buy or not?
My advice: spend your money on something else, these dvd's are not worth it.

My advice would be spend your money on databases or books which ever you prefer, iv brough The Art of Attack as a book, so wish i got it as a datasbase CD now since setting up every position on a board is annoying the willys out of me. 😛
That may be helpfull to you.Scroll right down to the bottom and download the zipfile.I don't think it has all the games and positions though.
I got one of Roman's Lab videos and doubt if I'll get another. I couldn't count the number of times he says, "And black is already lost." without explaining why or how black got himself into such a lousy position in the first place. Then he goes through about ten moves as white chases black's king around the board until mate. Of course, this is one man's opinion. I think it's a great idea to critique these things before spending your good money. I also got one of the Bad Bishop dvd's The Scandinavian. Andrew Martin does a terrific job of explaining the opening. My only problem is with the DVD itself which goes berserk after half an hour and jumps all over the place. Other than that, I'd heartily recommend these DVD's.

Tha problem with Roman is,he cannot teach. His dvd's contain excellent material, but he presents it so terribly, terribly bad.Take his opening dvd's,almost every opening he starts with: 'We'll talk about the (openingname). Now,I do not recommend this opening,it's no good, you cannot expect to win with it.But if you insist on playing it,I will give you a line or two that you could consider playable...if you must...' Not very encouraging,is it? LOL He then proceeds to show a line or two he thinks is playable and then says(this is the worst part IMO): 'If you want to know more about this opening, buy a book, there are many excellent ones out there'.
Hahaaa,very funny.Buy a book he says,cracks me up.And I thought that's why I bought the dvd's,silly me 😳😕
