I know how to do it i just wanted to know if it was a rule. They invented it to speed up the game about 400 years ago. When your pawn moves two back in the day you couldnt do that. So the rule is you are next to a pawn when it moves two spaces you can go diagonally behind that piece and take the pawn. I think its the only way to take a piece without being on the same square. I rarely use it.
