Hence I said there was good play by seadevil (obviously).
it was a basic mop-up job after black dropping the exchange, nothing a 1300 couldn't do. just exchange everything off and 1-0 remains.

I could show you many games where that is simply not the case, just because someone has won the exchange. Granted when it is against somone of his strenght it is a clean up job.

I think it is much too early in the game to say any 1300 player can just exchange and clean up.
Obviously a long time since you were a 1300 player !

and I can show lots of games where saccing the exchange is winning, but that's not the point. -in this one black just dropped the exchange without any compensation (nor an attack), which makes the game simply lost.

if you look at seadevil's moves, there's absolutely no tricks involved. he simply get's everything up and exchanges as fast as possible. he probably blitzed the moves, there's nothing to think about.

(it's been less than 3 years since I was 1300, I do remember it quite well.)

Then you should have good re-call that not every 1300 player could call this an absolute win on move 10. In your case I am sure you were a very strong 1300 player, who would never let a won game like that get away from you. Congrats on jumping 600 Points in 3 years, 200 a year is better than many do.

On the other hand, in my case when I was 1300 + I most certainly could still lose a game in that situation ! There is still a whole lot of play left in the game.

oh, I could've lost that game just fine, it's not what I meant. -what I meant was that the moves are easy enough for a 1300 to find them without trouble.

100,000 tactical problems is a lot of work, but it's well worth it.

Thanks I added that to my bookmarks. Years since I did any problem solving. Now if I can get my gameload down, probably something I should start doing again! 🙂
