Take a look at game 219818. I offered a draw in what could have been a winning position. Was I just having cold feet? Should I have continued to play?

Definitly play on!If you take on c3 he has no chance on a perp and needs to guard his f-pawn.You should be winning rather easy with your passer then.🙄
Of course,a mistake is easily made:'(

ps: Hope this isn't one of my faulty shallow analyses😳

I believe you were lucky that he accepted the draw. After your 27.Rg2, he should have played on 27...Qe1+ 28.Rg1 Qxc3 with a probably winning position for black.

Your better chance to hold a draw was 27.Qb8+ trying to go for repeating moves/perpetual check. If he plays Kg7 then Qe5+ and back to b8 if Kg8. If he plays Kh7, then play Qf4. One example of what could happen: Qxa2 Rxg6! fxg6 Qc7+ and the only way to avoid perpetual check is to give back the rook Kg8 Qb8+ Kf7 Qxh8 which I think is a draw. c3 is covered, and there are plenty of checks bothways.

there could be other opinions, though.

Thank you both. I've looked at it in terms of both positions you took, and I believe that I tend to agree more with sintubin. My opponent may have been a little intimidated at this point, though, because of our other game, but I think he could have pulled it out.
