shredder 8 time controls

i'm fairly new to using shredder 8 and so far i've yet to figure out after many attempts how to get the time controls set to 40 moves in 30 minutes for each side

everytime i set the time limits, in particular zeroing out the 2nd and 3rd time controls so supposedly on the 1st set controls the limits, the program once it hits the end of the first time control kicks in the 2nd ignoring the fact that i set it to zero per the instructions

someone more familiar with this please help out

i'm looking to do set something i thought would be pretty straightfoward, namely a game against the machine on sparring where each side has 30 minutes - so far that's not what's happening, instead the game turns into 30 minutes for the 1st time control, 30 minutes for the 2nd and 3rd (assuming the game goes on long enough to hit the 3rd control)

Just set it to 10 seconds a move, dude, shredder will crush you every time. Same with Fritz.

not a bad idea on setting the 1st two controls to zero and then set the 3rd to 30

not looking to do anything complicated

just play a game against the comp that lasts an hour in sparring mode

guess i'll just have to use blitz for this - which is what i did last night

contrary to the prediction of getting killed, it was a draw
