I think it's black's best response as 1...Nh6 looks silly after 2.Nf3.
1....Be6
2. Nxe6 dxe6
3. Qxe6+ Qe7 (3...Nge7 4.Nd5 Rf8 5.f3 +/-)
1...Be6
2. Nxe6 Nb4!?
3. Nxd8 Nxd5
4. Nxf7! Kxf7
5. Nxd5 +/-
White seems to gain material in all variations.

Originally posted by BedlamI played Nh6 and then scolded myself for days upon days because right after I played it I saw ...Qf6. But you still did not answer my question about which is better. I think that ...Be6 is less forcing than ...Qf6 and gives white more chances to think that he is out of the fire when the fire is only getting bigger and hotter.
Qf6 looks by far the best move, secures against whites threats and creates blacks own threats.
