My first game against a grandmaster and hopefully not the last. He beat me but I fought hard! Comments are welcome 🙂

Also can't work out for the life of me why that won't work as a PGN. Anyone do the honours?
Hi
Just watched it go past - 39.Qb8 looks like a shot.
Good of him to take Black - Was he coming around quick, did he allow passes?
In passing.
I've recently had solar panels fitted and I keep getting kicked off the net after about 5 minutes.
This happens about 6 or 7 times and then it holds - any ideas?
He was very generous actually. He allowed us to choose White or Black, and if we were Black he even allowed us to choose whether he played e4 or d4. Around 25 of us there and he lost 5 and drew 2 I think. He allowed 3 passes but obviously once he'd beaten a few he was coming around pretty quick, maybe every 2-3 minutes after the first 20 minutes.
That's the big advantage the simul master has - you must move.
He can take his time and gather his thoughts but if you lose track of
the game and he starts to come around quicker then the 'jitters' set in.
Good to give the standard 3 passes - remember reading in CHESS about
some guy who paid £20 to play Raymond Keene.
Raymondo turned up at the board the guy ask for a pass and RK
pushed all the pieces into the centre of the board - game over.
10 moves, you work out how much per move it was.
Letters were coming in about more RK simul horror stories. But he did
announce NO passes so they were the rules.

I originally just saw it as a trap, a tactical way to hold the c-pawn.
1...Rxc6 2.Qb7+
But can now see other tricks. 2.Qg8+ Kh6 puts his King a file away from
the c-pawn so then after Qg8+ you can consider Queen swaps and
wriggling the pawn home.
It would have had him thinking for a while giving your comrades
on the other boards a breather.
