Mind you, it may have been Tal's games like this that actually contributed

After a little research, it seems likely that "Igor Blek" was actually "Igors Bleks". Bleks entered the Latvian Championship almost every year in the 1950s and finished 4th out of 20 in 1951 (Tal was 14th!).
