I reckon if you could find a way to tap into this game the
energy it produces will be enough to power up a small city.

It's not in Clarke's book on Tal, nor in Tal's 'Life and Games.'

Mind you, it may have been Tal's games like this that actually contributed
to global warming. It's hot. Possibly too hot for publication.

The final position may interest those who followed the recent thread on
The Family Fork.

The only other game of Igor Blek's on chessgames.com is another exciting loss with White against Tal.

After a little research, it seems likely that "Igor Blek" was actually "Igors Bleks". Bleks entered the Latvian Championship almost every year in the 1950s and finished 4th out of 20 in 1951 (Tal was 14th!).

In an attempt to redeem his memory a little, here is a game of his which he didn't lose:

Blek / Bleks was also a painter:

11. Nxd4 Qh4+ 12. g3 Qxd4 equalizes material and develops black's queen, so no advantage for white.

I think White is losing , rather than just a pawn down, after 11.Nxd4?

Not to sure if Tal would have played Qxe5 even with a check.
He can pick up that e-pawn with the Knight after he has squeezed the position a bit.
