Spectacular Final Positions

The tactic which finished this one was very clever: Game 5636519 (though he missed the first time round!)

Been waiting for this one to finish to post it. The queen sac would have been nice but I'll settle for the rook.

I thought this was a neat checkmate, trapping the King in the center of the board:

Just finished this one, not spectacular but OK for a low level player. It may not belong because it's technically not mate (yet). It ended in resignation because the web was set.

Some nice final positions here. I like the K+ 4Q v. K.

I liked my final move in Game 3238016

Also, Game 3347408 is unremarkable except that the final move is Bh1#

Don't know if this is spectacular but it was unique and something of a surprise to get away with.

I quite liked this one as I'd lost my Queen early in the game but finished with a nice rook king chase.

Looking again at my game above from white's perspective I think I was rather fortunate to get away with a win, however it's the ending we are interested in isn't it 😀

Here is another game, a recent one, that I think is one of my best yet (not that, that is saying much) but considering when we started the game I was playing a 1700+ player for the first time and me a lowly (recent) 1575 player I was rather pleased with the result 🙂
