The principles that he discusses are timeless.

He may not have been the greatest player, but the positional lessons that Nimzovitsch teaches are essential components of any good players repetoire.
His principles improved my game tremendously. Even now they're being taught by other writers. Rook on 7th for example.

As Sspragett is a good, somewhat active GM, you have to respect his opinion. Of course it would be good to have GMs from both sides of the table debating the merits of My System.
