Could anyone point me in the right direction? I am in desperate need of improving my opening game, end game, oh dear!!!!! and my middle game. Anyone know a good book that I could improve my tactics. Obviously the more games I play on here the more I will learn, but it can't do any harm with a bit extra ammo.

i really rate the manual of chess combinations volume 1, by Sergei Ivashchenko. Also, the computer program ct-art 3.0 is very good.

Thanks for the tips all, will definitely give Winning Chess Tactics a go and I am going to try and get my hands on ct-art 3.0 if I can
