Actually it will not fall under that heading there were key tactical shots both you and your opponent missed I obviously will not comment more on the game as it is in progress

My own experience is I did not notice my play and my rating improving until I started studying tactics a lot more although I have not done the 7 cirlces so cannot comment on how really effective that is at least for me. My own experience also is that my positional u ...[text shortened]... y what is best. I think what de la maza says makes a like of sense. You do not.

That's fine
yes its a really interesting idea, i too gained a lot from Michaels books and i would definitely advise some tactical study, sorry for calling it nonsense, its just the clichéd, 'chess is 99% tactics', that really kind of annoys me', as for Silman, i felt he totally degraded some fine ideas the Michael presented, however he does demonstrate the limitations that a purely tactical outlook has, i take this, he takes that, i take this etc etc. personally i have benefited the most from trying to understand strategical concepts, long term planning etc and this has brought me not only the best results to date but has increased my joy of playing chess a thousand fold. I suppose it really depends on the individual, Karpov did not like to play sharply, unless he was forced to, Fischer on the other hand really enjoyed sharp positions, who are we to say which is better, if it increases your enjoyment then all the better. Once again i apologise for sounding harsh - kind regards Robbie.

Lol, please let me call it that, just for the controversy of the thing, and you can refute it if you will, regards Robert.

dude, thanks for the encouragement, but if anyone can lose a winning position it is yours truly, i would be really interested to hear the opinions of the tacticians among us, really, i have never posted a game yet being too scared as some of them are not very pretty, we shall see what happens, regards Robert.

yeah me too and I still lose games to simple tactics sometimes. I just lost a game to a one move knight fork I did not pay attention to! I think you have played pretty well so far but I am a patzer to so that does not mean much! I just noticed one move(not at all current) that could have turned the game around for your opponent but he never saw it and it is history. So anyway I do not want to get into trouble breaking rules here so I better just shut up even though the moves were already made.
