Everyone has seen the Bobby Fisher movie right?
Well you remember the game he's playing as a kid when he promotes his pawn second, but he promotes with check and skewers the king into the queen?
I almost had a nearly identical experience in this game.

i think i can hold a draw the entire time i'm down a pawn in the endgame.
he gave me the when when he played 69... Kd5?. He only would have tried this move if he had not realized that the game was drawn, and that he was in fact playing for the win. Anyway, the Fisher-esque skwere comes if he takes the bishop.
70. b7 Kxd5 71. b8=Q a1=Q (if Bb1, Qb2+ followed by Qe5 and Kxh3) 72. Qh8+
