    The English and the French have a storied rivalry and history. I was curious if the two clash just as much on the chess board as in history.

    Has anyone ever came across 1. c4 e6. How did it turn out?

    Many, many times with black. I have done very well with it both OTB and here.

    its a simple generic reply, there is a rather brilliant and quite famous game of Nakamura in this line, Krasenkow v Nakamura, I posted a video originally done by national master Rene Phillips on my youtube channel, you can check it out here,

    What about playing Sicilian against agent of FBI or a Petroff (Russian) against an Amerian official?
    (I hev in mind some open tournament, somewhere alongs Mediterranean coast...)
