"Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth." - Mike Tyson
The 6 months I've been away from competitive chess has given me the time to scroll through dozens (perhaps hundreds) of study plans on the internet, each boasting that "this is the one you should follow in order to improve" The quality of these range from very good to useless. There is one however I keep coming back to. This young lady has produced 4 videos, about 3 min. each, that can be modified to any level, and gives (IMHO) the most concise, high quality chess wisdom out there.
From the correspondence player to the OTB tournament player looking for a high-quality plan of action, these short lessons have something for everyone. - # 1 below

What is competitive chess like?
A: It's a lot like what you're doing now against opponents such as F Carmen, Driveshaft, alphieberg, DrunkPawn and others.
@ManDelaMaza said...but your point is well taken. I need to spend more time studying and competing, and less time posting about it. 😳
