Ok, there is a little something peeving me off, players who stall to deny winners advancement in their given round for whatever reason.
For example, I am playing two dudes right now. I have 12 pts, the next highest guy, who I am also playing presently and won my first game against, also has 12 pts. Now in both games I am up two whole pawns in a minor peice and pawn endgame. I CANNOT lose either of these games, so the best they can hope for is a draw (and it's not bishop of opposite color endgames BTW).
The problem with wasting time to play for a difficult draw, is, even if I drew both games, I would STILL advance in the tourney mathematicly and no tie would even be possible. Simply because, the guy I am tied with, I have a game at hand, he needed to beat me to have a reasonable shot, a must win for him. With a draw, we still remain tied, as I said, the draw is all he can hope for (he probably won't get it anyways), but my game at hand, my opponent can also best hope for a draw (he may get it, but still, he has one good counter pawn), so even if some miracle happens and they both draw these unwinable endgames, I still advance in the round by 1 pt by myself, this is good math to know.
I'm sure the two players in question know this simple math aswell, I often see a green circle next to their names, but they are simply moving very slowly or not at all, for no apparent reason when beforehand they were moving blitz style at times, they are fast players.
Now you are telling me I could just offer them draws and advance anyways, yes I could, but they are both lower rated then me, and it seems kinda unsporty to drag a round along so you can get rating pts off a good player who offers draws for tournament/mathematics reason.
It kinda sucks how a lot of rounds are already dicided and the winner is mathematicly certain, yet when the winner has, say 1 or 2 irrelevant games left, the guys don't move in spite and drag the tourney longer then it should. Something needs to be done about this so tournies flow faster, although I don't know what, I'm sure everyone who has the ability to win a round has experienced this.
π .....Please, next time you decide to start a thread with a complaint make sure it's in the general forum so you can try to put everything you want to complain of in 1 thread instead of spreading it out in countless threads. Please, consider the people you're annoying when you write threads. Thanks.

Consider a spoilt child who obviously has no problems in his life and the biggest thing he has to worry about is whining on a chess site, nope, sorry, no consideration or care on my part when it comes to that pettiness. . .

Lol. I'm no rich careless kid. I've got problems just like you do and I'm certainly not rich. *sigh*, oh well, just keep making more threads and people will still keep saying you're annoying and plotting to get you removed from the forums. π.
and B) Your problems are probably nothing then the normal norm, ie: "wah, taxes", and "oh my wife wants to divorce me because I don't make enough money", and "oh, my car flucking broke down again!", typical irrelevant western norm "problems", and to be honest, I wish I was in the position to have such problems as top priority to begin with.
