Anyone play this: I just played it and cracked a guy open pretty badly, for those of you that don't know it, here it is:

1. e4 e5
2. Nf3 Nc6
3. Bc4 Nf6
4. Ng5 d5
5. ed b5!? (read ?!, hehe)

my game continued:
6. Bb5 Qd5
7. Bc6 Qc6
8. 0-0 Bb7
9. f3 Bc5+

Then I pushed the kingside pawns for the win.....his line wasn't exactly challenging. Any thoughts?

Best move according to Estrin after b4 is bishop back to f1. Paradoxical, eh? It's also the strongest in the Fritz Variation of Two Knights.

Some regard this game as the best chess game ever played. I have different view though:-)

Do you have a book or something on this!? Wanna post the lines? I have seen a couple games like this, but I can't see to figure out who has the best of it!

Fritz gives me this with a pretty big advantage for white after 12. dxc3 +.41
The problem with 5...b5 is that you eventually lose that b-pawn and get not enough compensation for it. The attack mustered by black seems potent after 8...Bg4 but as you can see it is rather easily defused by white with a series of exchanges.

1. e4 e5
2.Nf3 Nc6
3. Bc4 Nf6
4. Ng5 d5
5. exd5 b5
6. Bf1 Qxd5
7. Nc3 Qc5
8. Bxb5 Bg4
9. Nge4 Nxe4
10. Bxc6+ Qxc6
11. Qxg4 Nxc3
12. dxc3

That's because that is not correct for black!
