Unrated verbal-diarrhea-fuelled game, anyone?

So I'm thinking to myself... I wonder what it would be like to play an unrated game against someone, but annotate each move I make and provide the annotation to the player I'm playing against (having them do the same)? Anyone game? Might be a waste of time to a player with a much higher rating than his opponent, though. Any 1300-1400 takers that want to try this out? The game will probably be very drawish but I thought it might be interesting - there exists the possibility of picking up a nugget of knowledge/advice from the other player... sort of a communal "inside the chess mind", but with the annotator sucking as badly as you do 🙂 what do you think?

Lol. Think you may be on to something there.
I think this is why analysis takes place after the game!

I tried something like that years ago with another player on FICS, though we waited until after the game to compare notes. I think its probably a good way to improve, even if the commentary is limited to just your own notes, since it encourages you to exert some real analysis during the game (rather than relying too much on intuition).

Game 4407349 for anyone interested in following it. Unfortunately I dont think you can see the annotation messages we send at each move... if you are interested in making us post these, shout...

Yes, please post your comments after the (drawn) game is finished.
Otherwise we might give our reactions on your plans while the game is still going on. That would give influence and direction to your game.
