Here's a game I recently finished that I rather enjoyed. It was quite a blood game with our pieces cluttering the middle fighting for center domination.

As of late I've been trying to expand my chess vision, to look at moves that seem unnatural. It seems to have helped. This game also was quite chaotic because it seemed like there was a lot of possible tactical and positional choices in some places. It was difficult to sift through them to find the best one.

Both of us are 1400 players so I'm sure there were a number of blunders and missed opportunities on boh sides. Feedback is welcome. Also, the game probably isn't as interesting for stronger players as it was for me.

    I'm playing black.

I wonder why he played 14. Nh3 and 15. a3. On his 15th move he could do the following: 15. Bxd4, which discovers an attack on your e4 knight. You are still OK there since you are a piece up already.

But when I recapture with the bishop doesn't that fork an attack on his queens rook and his C pawn?

    He takes Bxd4:

Did you say you wanted to take with your B like this?

    Then your e4 knight is attacked twice: 16. Bxe4 Bxe4 17. Qxe4 :

Moreover, your B is not protected, since the pawn is pinned. But I think blacks are still OK. What do you think?

I think this is my first analysis and comment of someone else's game here on RHP 🙂
