I would like to buy a full out-of-the-box chess kit/set from my favorite online shop, i.e. wholesalechess dot com.
Can you recommend one (and link it)?
I need:
- Nice rollable board with edge notations
- Sturdy Staunton pieces
- Bag for the pieces
- Extra queens
- Functional clock (nothing extra fancy)
- Carry-on bag for the set
Thanks in advance!
P.s. Bonus points if you recommend from an equally good shop located in Europe. Not a must, though.
@Russ saidRuss, you know it.
Time for RHP branded merch'! One guaranteed sale, right?
By the way, geez, I cannot get into my Seitse email and I don't remember the password here. Is there a way you can help me recover my old account? I miss being Seitse 🙁
@Lionel-Hutz saidThese would seem to fit your requirements: Good for both OTB tournament competition or correspondence chess. You might also consider a mousepad board. They lay very flat and are nearly indestructible. 🙂

@Lionel-Hutz saidPray tell?
@mchill
You are a deity among men. Thank you so much.
What catastrophe held you back from looking yourself?

@thedogandthecello saidI had spotted to or three options, including their "build-your-own-set."

As to why, I value the experiences of others and, sometimes, people who have used a product have good insights that can't be reached via reviews, for example.
@mchill saidThis set is identical to the tourney sets I played on in my high school chess club and when we played other schools. It's a great set.

I think the green and buff is easiest on the eyes after hours of play.
