So I try the "Blitz" tab, end up playing a guy with a 1200p rating, who kicks my ass, then I notice that he's been a member since 2009, but he's still a provisional player.
Name was "Deelong". So I figure he must just come on the site so he can play the blitzes and hide his true rating. Is that fair? Is that what this is all about? I'm a rotten under 1300 rated player but at least I'm comfortable in my own skin, pick up my game at times, but enjoy the play, enjoy the site. Just don't like "baggers".
I originally joined here just to do the same. Play Blitz.
There are quite a few provo players who never play a real game or make
a forum post. They just play blitz. Most are good.
Possibly some are lads on here with duplicate account, one for real chess
and one for blitz.
The fact it's totally unrated with no record of results is possibly a good thing
as you can go on there and mess about without a dent to your ego.
There again the fact it's unrated etc. may be the reason why it's so little used.
