It's fine for five minute games, but its horrible for one minute.
The playchess interface or the ICC one allows players to make premoves, and pick up the pieces while it isn't their turn, which allows you to play much faster.
On playchess I can probably mate with a king and rook using about 3 seconds, just because you can move instantly. Here, it would take at least 20 seconds.
Once they have a good interface, even like the one on fics, they will attract many more good or titled players. Of course then they also should enforce automatic cheat detection like they have on playchess or ICC.

How does that work? Does it pick up multi-tasking?
I play 4/0 because it's just right and I think it does not give the player time
to add moves to computer. (paranoid about boxes, never was till I came here).
I dislike the +5 seconds games as I think that gives them time to feed a box.
Don't know how it works, but its not multi-tasking, because I go to other sites all the time while I'm waiting for my opponent to move, and haven't been banned. Messages come up about every 2 minutes: "playerxxx cheated in gamexxxxx and has had his rating deleted"
BTW I'm pretty sure players can program their engine to automatically move in the games, so they don't have to do anything, they just sit back and watch.
This makes it possible for people to cheat even in bullet games
